City of Albuquerque Feeling Good, Opens new Employee Health Center

Center will provide efficient, low-cost healthcare services to keep City workforce healthy.

Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Mayor Keller, along with City and industry leaders, cut the ribbon on the new employee health clinic at City Hall.

The brand-new clinic is the first permanent facility within City Hall where employees can receive care.

“We work hard for our employees so they can work hard for our communities,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “A healthy workforce is the most important resource we have, and this new clinic will not make it easier and less expensive for City employees to get the care they need.”

The new facility will feature three exam rooms, an innovative tele-medicine room, and a lactation room for new mothers.

“When you have cost effective and convenient access to primary and urgent care, you feel better and you miss less work,” said Director of Human Resources Anthony Romero. “This facility will provide everyone at the City with easy access to important services so that they can spend more time feeling better, and less time in waiting rooms.”

The new employee health center is operated with the help of Presbyterian Health Services, and will be open to employees and their families Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

“This partnership truly uses the advantage of an integrated system to help deliver care and health coverage in the most efficient ways,” said President of Presbyterian Health Plan Brandon Fryar. “We want to thank the City for bringing us along as we work together to improve the health of the members of this community.”
