Metro Security Division Training Courses

Metro Security officers must pass a 4-week, 160+ hour training in order to join the force. Training that will be provided includes:

  • CPR/NARCAN/AED/First-Aid Certification
  • Defensive Tactics
  • Incident Scene Management
  • Radio/Mobile Dispatch Terminal (MDT)
  • Fire Suppression
  • Report Writing
  • De-Escalation
  • OC/Baton/Handcuff Certification
  • Traffic Control Certification
  • Conducting Patrols
  • Emergency Response (Evacuation/Perimeter Security)
  • Interpersonal Communications
  • Interacting with those experiencing homelessness and more....
