Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Resources and Assistance
The DVSAC has voted to establish the following subcommittees: The Policy and Funding Subcommittee, Training Subcommittee, and The Task Force Recommendations Implementation Subcommittee.
About the Policy and Funding Subcommittee
The Policy and Funding Subcommittee of the Domestic Violence Commission is responsible for developing and advocating for policies, legislation, and funding initiatives that address domestic violence, promote survivor-centered approaches, and enhance the effectiveness of support services.

Meeting Information
The Policy and Funding Subcommittee will meet on the 4th Wednesday of every other month from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 AM. Meeting dates for 2026 include: February 25, April 22, June 24, August 26, October 28.
Location: Meeting is exclusively on Zoom. Complete the required registration to attend via Zoom.
In compliance with OMA, agendas for future meetings are available at least 72 hours prior to the meetings for which they pertain. Draft meeting minutes are available within 10 days of each convening or before the next scheduled quorum, whichever is less. Once approved, board minutes will be added below.

About the Training Subcommittee
The Training Subcommittee of the Domestic Violence Commission is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs aimed at raising awareness, educating stakeholders, and data centered approaches to promote effective responses to domestic violence within the community.

Meeting Information
The Training Subcommittee will meet on the last Monday of every other month from 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Meeting Dates for 2026 include: January 26, March 30, May 18 (special date due to Memorial Day falling on typical Monday) , July 27, September 28, November 30.
Location: Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, 400 Roma Ave NW, 5th Floor, Sheriff’s Conference Room or Join the meeting on Zoom: Complete required registration to attend via Zoom.
