Between the years of 1926 and 1982, Albuquerque High School acquired over thirty paintings presented to the school as senior class gifts. The works of many outstanding New Mexican artists such Oscar Berninghaus, Ernest Blumenschein, Bert Phillips, and Carl Redin were part of the collection. In the 1980s, the art collection moved to the Albuquerque Museum. This online docent presentation will tell the story of the development and donation of this amazing art collection and will feature about ten of the paintings.
