Trauma Recovery Center (TRC)

Providing healing and support for victims of violence and trauma.

Welcome to the Trauma Recovery Center (TRC), delivering comprehensive and community-centered services to individuals and families impacted by violence or trauma.

About the Trauma Recovery Center

The TRC serves as the headquarters for Violence Intervention Program (VIP) division of the Albuquerque CommunityTrauma Recovery Center Safety (ACS) Department. It is designed to combine assertive outreach, advocacy, evidence-based mental health support, and comprehensive case management for victims of violence least likely to receive the services.

It is the first TRC in New Mexico, and one of 55 in the country. The goal is to provide a community-centered, trauma-informed, and a healing system of care for victims of violence and trauma. Services include care coordination, connection to resources, peer support, workshops/education, and trauma-informed therapy.

Located in Albuquerque's International District, the TRC allows the City of Albuquerque to strengthen relationship with community and provides essential services impacted by violence or trauma who are less likely to seek out services.
