Description
ALBUQUERQUE – The City of Albuquerque’s Community Safety (ACS), in partnership with Bernalillo County, Albuquerque City Council, and 99.9 The Beat, will host a free high school skating night and DJ camp Thursday at Skate-O-Mania as part of the Seasons of Nonviolence initiative.
The event is open to students in grades 9–12. The skating session is limited to the first 100 registrants, while the DJ Camp will offer 24 students hands-on tutorials from local DJs. Mixes created by students during the camp will be played during the skating event later that evening.
Registration and a waiver are required for both activities. Parents and guardians can register their students for the event at DJCampABQ.com.
Seasons of Nonviolence is a joint initiative by the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County focused on reducing violence through youth programs, wellness support, conflict resolution, and community events.
