Yale Operations & Maintenance Facility Site Assessment & Design Project

Information about ABQ RIDE's new RFP to assess and design improvements to the Yale Maintenance and Operations Facility.

ABQ RIDE is beginning a phased project to upgrade its Yale Operations and Maintenance Facility to address building, infrastructure, and operational deficiencies. We’re exploring options to construct an entirely new facility on site or to rehabilitate and renovate some or all of the existing buildings. An earlier assessment of the facility and options for improvements was completed in 2015.  This project will start by reviewing and validating or updating the conclusions of that earlier study and will then help us develop a plan to move forward in the next phase with actual design.  The full project will likely involve several phases of design and construction.

As a first step in the project, ABQ RIDE has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for architectural services. For more information, see the RFP and submittal instructions posted at: https://www.cabq.gov/municipaldevelopment/architects-engineers-contractors/cip-selection-advisory-committee/request-for-proposals/request-for-proposals. Note that the initial RFP legal advertisement is listed as project 5798.82 under “Legal Notices,” and further information is posted under the “Project Pre-Submittal Documents” under that same project number, including a more detailed scope of work and links to the previous 2015 assessment (also linked below).

(Note that ABQ RIDE has not decided whether to follow the recommendations of this earlier study.  The purpose of the current project step is to update and reassess options in order to decide how to improve the facility.)
