Got Household Hazardous Waste?
October 31, 2022
The City is offering a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park, 5000 Balloon Fiesta Parkway NW. Examples of household hazardous waste include items that can burn easily (flammable), corrode or irritate the skin (corrosive), or poison humans and animals (toxic). These items should never go in your curbside trash or recycling carts.
Residents of the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County must adhere to the following event guidelines:
- Download, print, and fill out the event form prior to the day of the event
- Provide their name to the volunteer in the first portion of the line
- Must have all items visible in the truck bed, trunk, or back seat of their car
- An Advanced Chemical Transport employee will remove the items from the participant’s vehicle and the participant will continue driving through the line
Residents can also dispose of their household hazardous waste for free throughout the year by taking it to ACT located at 6137 Edith NE. It is open to the public on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
