Description

The Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department announces the arrival of Star Wars pets who are ready for adoption! This special “May the Furs be with You” event will take place at all city shelters, Saturday, December 21.

The Force is strong in these lovable furry creatures. Much like Luke, these pets are just looking for their fathers (and mothers too!). Let the Force awaken within you by adopting your own Star Wars pet.

These shelter pets are perfectly willing to travel to a galaxy far, far away if it means gliding into their forever homes. The city shelter empire is chock-full of cute furry things: Ewoks, Chewbacca, and now furry babies who want to hear you say: "Kitty, I am your father!"

Select a unique companion for an adoption fee of only $5 for any pet.  And with each dog adoption, Animal Welfare is providing one day of Jedi basic dog training—for free! Also, with every adoption Groomingdales Pet Spa is giving away one free nail trimming coupon.

Star Wars fans can come to the Eastside Shelter from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to take a photo with their favorite Star Wars character. The photos will be done by WinstonFoto.com.
