Description
The Parks and Recreation Department is preparing to make upgrades to the Tom Bolack Urban Forest Dog Park. The public is invited to join City Councilor Diane Gibson and staff from the Parks and Recreation Department to learn more about the improvements and provide feedback.
The proposed improvements include expanding the dog park and adding a small dog area, adding a new shade structure, picnic table, and water hydrant, and replacing the wood chips with crusher fines. Additionally, the City is planning to install six new pole lights along the path just south of the dog park.
The public is invited to a public meeting on Thursday, March 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where we will discuss the project and solicit public comments. The meeting will be held in the conference room of the Jerry Cline Tennis Facility at 7001 Constitution Ave NE.
If you can't attend the meeting, please feel free to submit comments by emailing them to Susannah Abbey at [email protected] or by calling 311.
