City Partners with FEMA to Host Walk-up Vaccine Events

Three vaccine sites across the City for adults ages 18 and up, no appointment necessary

April 28, 2021

As part of its continued effort to ensure equitable and efficient vaccine distribution, the City of Albuquerque’s Emergency Operations Center, in collaboration with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), is hosting walk-up vaccine events at three different locations. The sites will have the Moderna vaccine available for anyone 18 and older, and insurance is not required.

The clinic locations and event dates are:

  • Cesar Chavez Community Center, 7505 Kathryn Ave SE: April 26 – May 1,
  • City lot at Eastern and Palomas, Eastern Ave and Palomas St: May 3 – 8,
  • John Marshall Health and Social Services Center, 1500 Walter St SE: May 10 – 15.

Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, Noon – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Vaccines will be administered to anyone 18 and older while supplies last, no appointment necessary. Masks are required.

This collaborative effort with FEMA was established to expand vaccination efforts in Albuquerque by increasing access and simplifying logistics as the city makes its way toward a majority vaccinated population.
