Alicia Manzano, Liaison for Strategic Partnerships

Alicia began working with the administration in December of 2017 as Communications Director for Mayor Keller, later transitioning into her current role as Mayor’s Liaison for Strategic Partnerships.  Alicia was born and raised in Burque, and is an “Ag-bo,” having received her undergraduate degrees in Journalism & Mass Communications and Spanish from New Mexico State University, and later earning her Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico.  Alicia has 20 years of experience working in communications, advocacy and management with local non-profit organizations, and in the private sector.  She spent five years working with NM Voices for Children focusing on tax and budget policy, racial equity and a variety of other issues on behalf of kids and families in New Mexico. Alicia was the Vice President of Strategies 360, a Seattle-based public relations firm for five years before joining the City of Albuquerque team.  Alicia is passionate about serving her community and is grateful to be doing so in the city she loves.
