Converting Hotels/Motels to Housing

Albuquerque needs more housing at all income levels. One strategy to quickly and cost-effectively create more housing is by converting old hotels/motels into affordable apartments.

Zoning Changes

A zoning code that allows Albuquerque the flexibility we need to address our housing demand. Two-thirds of the city is zoned for single-family detached homes, which prevents diverse types of housing in the majority of the city.
