Next year's Albuquerque Renaissance Faire will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at the Balloon Museum. 

The Lords and Ladies of Albuquerque will be able to attend the most beloved event in the kingdom. All of the faire favorites including The Tavern, Commoners' Food Court, Children's Realm, Artisan Village, Living History and live entertainment will return for the whole family to enjoy!

Presented by the City of Albuquerque and Society for Creative Anachronism | Barony of al-Barran.

  • Adults: $10
  • Children 4-12: $5
  • Children 3 and younger: Free

Entertainment

The finest entertainers from across the kingdom have gathered for your amusement and delight! Enjoy live entertainment on multiple stages throughout the event and witness fascinating living history demonstrations.

Regal Performers

For thy noble listening pleasure the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire has enlisted extraordinary talent. The Faire will host a variety of entertainment on three stages. Be sure to catch our local headliners.   

The Tavern

Kings and Queens (21+) can enjoy food, entertainment and libations from vendors in The Tavern, located upstairs in the Balloon Museum. Adults can saunter through the event grounds with a goblet full of a beverage from a local brewery, distillery or winery such as:

Food Fit for a King

Feast like royalty on delicious food and drinks served by a variety of local food trucks. Look for items such as, turkey legs, roasted corn, frozen sweet treats and more.

Village Shopping

Browse through a variety of local handcrafted artisans ranging from pottery, housewares, and baked goods to clothing, body products, and jewelry. 

Children's Realm

In the Children's Realm, your little prince or princess can enjoy free arts & crafts activities, storm the rock wall and face painting to prepare for battle. Sign-up at the event for Crawl to the Crown: Baby Race and Fight a Knight.

Living History

The Renaissance was a period of growth and exploration. Discover the rebirth of European civilization in the Living History realms. Inside the museum learn the importance of documents with Scribal Arts, map the stars with Astronomy Instruction and see how fabric was created by the spinners and weavers. Outside in The Village see what it was like to live during the Renaissance. Watch the blacksmith prepare tools and weapons, visit the archery station to see the variety of bows and arrows and don't miss the impromptu belly-dancer performances.

Parking

Parking at the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire is free! Parking attendants will assist you in finding parking once you arrive in the area.

Artist Bio

Artist shout-out! Did you know that painter Robin Hesse has created the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire poster art since its inception? 2019 marked the seventh year the local artist has shared her love of Viking mythology to all things medieval and mysterious, including worldly and magical creatures alike.

The Albuquerque Renaissance Faire is a rain or shine event. Dogs are welcome on leashes.
