Create a Backyard Wildlife Refuge

Learn how to create your very own wildlife refuge by restoring pockets of native habitat in your backyard, community garden, or apartment balcony!  Join us for an introduction to the new Backyard Refuge Certification Program developed by the Friends of Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and organizational and agency partners. Help  to create a habitat network for wildlife and people on residential lots, schools, and neighborhoods through-out our community and receive a free copy of the Backyard Refuge Educational Guide to support your efforts to make more wildlife friendly spaces at your home and in our community. Presented by Aryn LaBrake, executive director of Friends of Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge.
