What is NACOLE? 

Established in 1995, the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to enhance accountability and transparency in policing and build community trust through civilian oversight. This annual conference brings together the growing community of civilian oversight practitioners, law enforcement officials, journalists, elected officials, students, community members, and others to meet and exchange information and ideas about issues facing civilian oversight and law enforcement. The annual conference typically draws 300-400 people from across the United States and around the world seeking training, professional development, and networking opportunities in the field of civilian oversight.
