Update on NW Mesa Water Main Break at Unser and McMahon

Statement from Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority

Water Authority crews and contractors are working to repair damage caused by a water main break on McMahon east of Unser, near Stonebridge. The high-pressure, 16” water main ruptured Tuesday night, releasing a significant amount of water into the street and leaving a number of residents without water service for several hours.  The Water Authority reports that all service has now been restored and the broken pipe repaired.  Street repairs and repaving are expected to take another day or so, with all lanes of McMahan re-opened in time for the Monday AM commute if all goes according to plan. Any residents in the area who are experiencing issues with their water service are advised to call the Water Authority’s emergency dispatch office at 842-WATR (9287) and select Option 1.
