Letter to District 5 Constituents from Councilor Cynthia Borrego

Provides updates and resources related to COVID-19.
Dear District 5 Constituents,

I would like to reach out to you during this challenging time to assure you that, together, we will get through the health situation. I am sensitive to the uncertainty our society is facing regarding the COVID-19 Virus. I fully support our Governor and Mayor’s policies to 'Stay In', and practice social distancing. At this time, it is critical to practice social distancing and stay at home, unless you are in an essential service job. Other cities are experiencing critical mass of COVID-19 numbers in their populations, while New Mexico and Albuquerque are only seeing the tip of the iceberg. Social distancing, staying at home, and frequently washing your hands are essential right now!

Please protect yourself and others from the virus. I encourage you to call your neighbors and loved ones, and find SAFE ways to support local businesses. I am providing the following updates and resources to help answer some of your COVID-19 (coronavirus) related questions:
I am always available via telephone and email to address your concerns and answer your questions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office at 505-758-3189, or e-mail [email protected] or you may contact Susan Vigil, District 5 Policy Analyst also at 505-768-3189, e-mail [email protected]. Finally, Mayor Keller is hosting daily at 11:30 a.m. on Gov TV a COVID-19 update.

Please remain safe, and know you are not alone in the fight to prevent COVID-19, and to protect our families and communities.

Cynthia D. Borrego, MPA
Councilor, District 5
