Cottonwood Mall Community Day

Councilor Borrego joins District 5 community at Cottonwood Mall.

On Saturday, October 31st, City Councilor Cynthia Borrego attended Cottonwood Mall Community Day. Councilor Borrego shared:

"Thank you to Cottonwood Mall (Cotton Wood Mall General Manager Debra Sherman and Lead Event Coordinator), Sam's Club (Rene Portillo Jr., Club Manager), Albuquerque Fire and Rescue, Albuquerque Police Department, Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department, Kirtland's First Airborne, New Mexico National Guard, Kutz 4 Kids, Dukes of Albuquerque Car Club (Frank Chavez), all our Superheroes and so many other sponsors for making today's wonderful Cottonwood Community Halloween Drive-Thru event a huge success!  Our NW Mesa, District 5, children and families enjoyed a great time, with activations like live music, food trucks and more.  Many participants displayed great costumes including Batman, Spiderman, Princesses, Unicorns, Captain America, Freddie Kruger, Dragons, Pumpkinheads, Squarehead, Witches, Ghosts, Goblins, and so many more..."

"Each child received a Special Bag/Backpack filled with Halloween candy, and fun items, for donating a total of 1220 new socks to the residents of Albuquerque's Westside Shelter! Thank you for participating in today's event, we appreciate your creative community spirit and kindness to a good cause! "
