Description
An array of sculpture, jewelry, photography, painting, and other mix media works will explore the idea of outer space. The show is co-curated by New Mexican artist and designer, Virgil Ortiz and City of Albuquerque Gallery Curator, Augustine Romero, with curatorial assistance by Anhua Katniss Xu Garcia, UNM CFA Arts Management Leadership intern.
Our Existential Space contemplates our own presence and existence in the Land of Enchantment as a magical reflection of ourselves in a larger universe. We all have our own origin stories and on how we arrived to New Mexico. Space travel can be part of our next journey.
