Closing Lecture: Living in the Landscape: Cole, O'Keeffe, and Beyond
Included with admission

The Albuquerque Museum's suite of exhibitions centered on the legacy of Thomas Cole present a unique opportunity to draw out an unexpected dialogue between his work and that of an artist who is rather closer to home: Georgia O’Keeffe. This talk will discuss both these fascinating painters in the context of a continuing pattern of American artists who have drawn sustained inspiration from a narrowly circumscribed region that they have come to know deeply through living in the landscape. The talk is presented by William Coleman, Wyeth Foundation Curator and Director of the Wyeth Study Center, Brandywine Museum of Art.
