Bradbury Stamm Announces Monday, Oct. 17 Construction Schedule

The Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) heavy construction will begin Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 throughout the construction corridor – Central Avenue from Coors Boulevard to Louisiana Boulevard. At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during the entire construction period.

The scheduled construction traffic plan follows:

West Central

  • Coors & Central intersection – median removal. One eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • Yucca to 52nd street westbound - northern most westbound lane will be closed.
  • 47th to 40th Street eastbound - southern most eastbound lane will be closed.

Old Town area

  • West of Tingley Drive to New York westbound - northern most westbound lane will be closed. One westbound lane will be closed at Tingley
  • New York to Clayton – median removal. One lane each direction will be open
  • 14th to 10th Streets westbound. East & westbound lanes shift to south side of road

Downtown

  • 6th Street between Copper & Gold northbound. North & southbound lanes shift and will be open.
  • Copper between 5th & 6th Streets westbound. East and westbound lanes shift and will be open

 UNM/Nob Hill Areas

  • Cedar to University westbound. Northern most westbound lane will be closed.
  • Stanford to Girard median. One lane each direction will be closed.
  • Wellesley to Carlisle median. One lane in each direction will be closed.
  • Washington to Monroe median. One lane in each direction will be closed.
  • University & Central intersection northwest corner. Traffic shift to accommodate work. Intersection will be open, but expect delays.
  • Monroe to San Mateo median. One lane each direction will be closed.
  • San Mateo to Alvarado westbound. Northern most westbound lane will be closed.
  • San Pedro to Lousiana westbound. Northern most westbound lane will be closed.
