Description

Sharks play an important role in the world's oceans ecosystems and in the imaginations of humans throughout the world. Learn about sharks' amazing adaptations, keen senses and important roles in ocean ecosystems.

Also, thanks to a generous partnership with New Mexico PBS, we are pleased to present "NOVA: Why Sharks Attack" in the Aquarium Auditorium.

Have a hands-on experience with small sharks in the Shark and Ray Encounter.

Meet the ABQ BioPark's Black Tip, Sand Tiger, Sandbar, Nurse and Zebra sharks. Visit discovery stations to find out about sharks' unusual senses, including the ability to pick up electric currents given off by other animals in the water.
