BioPark and Explora Family Passes for Adoption or Foster Care Families

Council President Ken Sanchez and Councilor Don Harris sponsored R-14-31 with the intent of helping those families that adopt children in Bernalillo County.
Family Passes to the BioPark and Explora
- For all families that adopted within Bernalillo County
- For foster parents and those with temporary adoptive status
- No requirement that the adoption or fostering agreement be run through New Mexico’s CYFD
Any parents that have adopted or are currently in the foster program can visit the Albuquerque City Council office located at 1 Civic Plaza (9th Floor), Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00PM, to receive the free family passes to the Albuquerque BioPark and Explora.
A letter from the foundation that the family has adopted from or is currently a part of, any form of legal paperwork showing guardianship of the children through adoption or foster care, or valid proof of adoption or foster care is required to retrieve the passes from the City Council office.
