San Mateo Opened One Month Early

Few Intensive Days of Work at Intersection Prevented Traffic Delays Over a Month's Time

Following the closure of north and southbound San Mateo at Central, which was in place to expedite construction in the busy intersection, Bradbury Stamm has announced the intersection has re-opened.

On March 17th, Bradbury Stamm closed the north and southbound access to the intersection in order to decrease the duration of construction in the area, which would have otherwise taken over a month with varying levels of traffic control delays. Following a quick five-day turnaround of extensive construction, the intersection is now open.

“We’re excited that the San Mateo and Central intersection is completed, and I applaud the Bradbury Stamm team for their efforts to take advantage of spring break schedules and ensure access to schools remains available,” said Mayor Richard Berry. “Their work in five days saved drivers from a month’s worth of delays, mitigating overall construction impact.”
