ART Project Provides Local Subcontractors Opportunity to Work in ABQ

The Albuquerque Rapid Transit (ART) project is working with all local subcontractors, and at most times with 300 people working on the project. The anticipated total hiring for the project is up to 1,000 jobs. The project allows the construction workers in Albuquerque the opportunity to work in their city, and not travel for work.

“Being a Construction Superintendent, the projects I run very often have me working out of town during the week and now that I’m on ART, I am really enjoying being home & seeing my family every day,” Jesse Sanchez, Bradbury Stamm Construction.

Mike Drye, another Bradbury Stamm Construction Superintendent added, “Living and working in the Albuquerque area is great. After a couple of tours with the out of town group, it’s nice to be home with my wife and enjoying the weekends attending my grandsons’ games. Thanks to the ART project, I’m able to enjoy my family and the activities that make Albuquerque and the surrounding  area great. It’s really nice to BBQ or see a movie on any night of the week with my family at HOME.”

The local companies that ART has contracted include Bradbury Stamm Construction, Accent Landscape Contractors, AUI, Beaty Masonry, Bixby Electric, Cornerstone Contractors, DevCorp, Inc., Groundskeeper Landscaping, Lente’s Painting, Majestic Construction, MWI, Pace Metals North, San Bar Construction, Service Electric, Star Paving, Southwest Safety Services, TLC Plumbing, Western Technologies and Zeon Signs.
