ABQ RIDE Holding Public Meeting on Potential Public/Private Partnership for Uptown Transit Center

ABQ RIDE is considering a public/private partnership to redevelop its Uptown Transit Center at Uptown Blvd and Indiana St NE. And it wants the public’s comments on proposals.

That’s why ABQ RIDE is planning a public meeting on the subject, scheduled for Thursday, March 27, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Inez Elementary School, 1700 Pennsylvania NE in Albuquerque.

This meeting is an opportunity for the public to hear what ABQ RIDE is considering, ask questions, and provide comment.

ABQ RIDE is considering turning the parking lot into mixed-use, Transit Oriented Development (or TOD).  The transit function of the site would be retained. However, it is proposed that the current lot be converted into a combination of commercial and residential space as part of a public/private partnership.
