ABQ RIDE Asking for Public’s Input on Bus Rapid Transit Concept

Last of Six Planned, Public Meetings Set for Thursday Night, Dec. 13, 2012

ABQ RIDE is asking for your input; to determine the feasibility of the idea of Bus Rapid Transit down Central Avenue.

It will hold the last of a series of six public meetings on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History, 2000 Mountain NW (across from Tiguex Park at 19th and Mountain).

Participants will hear a presentation on Bus Rapid Transit by ABQ RIDE Director Bruce Rizzieri.  They’ll then have a chance to give their ideas and ask questions about the concept.

As the city undertakes an Alternatives Analysis as the first step in determining the operational and financial feasibility of a BRT system along Central Avenue, ABQ RIDE scheduled six public meetings along the Central Avenue Corridor to get your ideas and opinions about the project.

It plans to schedule more public input meetings in 2013 concerning the concept of Bus Rapid Transit on Central Ave.
