The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is celebrating Leap Year with a pet adoption at the City shelters. Leap Year comes every four years, so consider coming out and changing the luck of an animal at the City shelters. Any pet 6 months or older can Leap out of the shelter for only $4.

There are over 500 animals at our City shelters. Animal Welfare hopes the public will give a home to some of these wonderful pets. Each adoption will include spay or neuter, a microchip, and all vaccinations required by law.

When:   Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28                                                          

Where: Eastside Shelter - 8920 Lomas Blvd. NE - 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.

             Westside Shelter- 11800 Sunset Gardens SW – 10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.                      

               Lucky Paws – 6600 Menaul NE – 11:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. – Sun: Noon – 6 p.m.
