The City of Albuquerque is conducting a feasibility study for a multi-use trail to connect downtown Albuquerque with the Sawmill District. The trail alignment is proposed to follow the rail corridor that parallels First Street and continues along the rail spur to the Sawmill District. The Rail Spur Trail is anticipated to become a community amenity with benefits such as improved health and wellness, connectivity, and safety on the corridor.
