Join us at our "Neighborhood 101" training
We are thrilled to present our first training of 2018! This training will be held on two different nights at two different locations. All are invited.
At this “Neighborhood 101” training you can expect:
- An opportunity to brainstorm with other neighborhood leaders for solutions to common concerns such as:
- How to remain engaged as an elected board member
- How to communicate meetings/activities of the association
- How to have a productive meeting
- How to make meetings fun, welcoming, and exciting
- How to encourage new people to come to your meeting
- Success stories from neighborhood leaders on topics such as:
- The power of forming a neighborhood association
- The fun way to attract new members
- How HOAs and NAs can work together
- How to be in it for long-term success
- How to have membership drives that work
- Partnering for success to accomplish neighborhood-scale projects
- A panel discussion on bylaws with experts such as:
- A Parliamentarian
- Neighborhood Leaders who have recently gone through an extensive bylaw update process
- A representative from City Legal Department to explain what the City will look for in your bylaws and how to have bylaws that encourage a well-functioning neighborhood association
- A City Code Enforcement Officer who can speak to the difference between bylaws, covenants and the City Zoning Code
