Lee Madrid and Stephen Madrid (no relation) work in the Parks and Recreation Department.

Behind every great success in the City of Albuquerque, there are dedicated employees that made it happen.

The Albuquerque Convention Center was fortunate enough to have an indoor track that hosted several events including the Indoor Track and Field Championship games and the Special Olympics.

To date, the 2010 indoor track season has proven to be the most successful one for the City of Albuquerque, much attributed to the hard work, dedication, and long hours put in by Stephen and Lee.

Both of these employees set up and took down the track several times and ensured all of the athletes competing on the track were safe and well taken care. During this period, Albuquerque received national coverage on the ESPN television network, which allowed everyone to see what hard work Lee and Stephen put in to the track.

Because Stephen and Lee worked so carefully and endured long hours, the events were a success and the entire country saw that.
