Officer Tommy Gonzales and Sergeant Ernesto Rojas work for Aviation Police in the City of Albuquerque Aviation Department.
Earlier this year, an elderly traveler in the Albuquerque International Sunport went into Cardiac Arrest while in one of the concourses.
Both of these Aviation Police officers quickly responded performing CPR and utilizing an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Because Officer Gonzales and Sgt. Rojas used their training and remained cool and collective, they ensured that the elderly person had a pulse when paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital. Their heroic action helped provide the lady with another chance and the opportunity to say goodbye to her loved ones.
