Required Attachments

  • Operating budget for current fiscal year
  • Financial statement for most recent fiscal year
  • Proof of 501(c)(3) status
  • Board of Directors listing and their professional or community affiliations
  • Detailed budget of how the funding will be utilized

Description of How Funding Request will be Utilized

The 2017 Mayor and First Lady’s Charity Gala will be focused on Economic Mobility and Opportunity for Albuquerque residents.

Specifically; we are seeking organizations that specialize in creating pathways for individuals who find themselves underemployed or unemployed in our city.  This can include a wide range of programs and systems that help people improve their employability, skill sets and other attributes that will lead to improved upward economic mobility for the individual and their families.

Additional Requirements

If selected as the beneficiary for the Mayor and First Lady's Charity Gala, the awardee agrees to:

Provide a six-month progress report to the Mayor’s Office.  

Provide a one-year progress report to the Mayor’s Office to include measures of success in the utilization of grant funding.  

Help sell tickets and provide volunteers to the Charity Gala and assist in soliciting donations for the Gala auction.  

Recruit and assist in the management of all volunteers for the activities the night of the Galas. The minimum anticipated number of volunteers is 50 persons.  

Make a reasonable and best effort to assist the Fundraising Committee and the Event Planner by providing and intiating potential contacts for soliciting sponsorships, table sales, and auction items for the Gala.  

Provide up to (2) members to participate in the Fundraising Committee as determined by the Fundraising Committee Chair.
