2017 Minimum Wage

The 2017 minimum wage required to be paid from Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2017:

  1. Starting Jan. 1, 2017, the minimum wage will be $8.80.
  2. Starting Jan. 1, 2017, the minimum wage will be $7.80 if the employee's employer provides healthcare and/or childcare benefits to the employee during any pay period and the employer pays an amount for these benefits equal to or in excess of an annualized cost of $2,500.00.
  3. Starting Jan. 1, 2017, the minimum wage for tipped employees will be $5.30.

2016 Minimum Wage

The 2016 minimum wage required to be paid from Jan. 1, 2016, through Dec. 31, 2016:

  1. Starting Jan. 1, 2016, the minimum wage will be $8.75.
  2. Starting Jan. 1, 2016, the minimum wage will be $7.75 if the employee's employer provides healthcare and/or childcare benefits to the employee during any pay period and the employer pays an amount for these benefits equal to or in excess of an annualized cost of $2,500.00.
  3. Starting Jan. 1, 2016, the minimum wage for tipped employees will be $5.25.
