The Summer Recreation Program is offered for six to eight weeks, (June to July) every year to school age children and youth from 5 -15 years old at each City Community Center. 5 year old children must be turning six by September 1 in order to be eligible to participate.
A registration form will be required from all participants that are selected to participate in the summer recreation program. Due to the high participant demand for the City of Albuquerque’s Community Centers Summer Recreation Program, the Department of Family & Community Services has implemented a “lottery-style” selection of participants. Lottery forms are available at each Community Center. For Community Center information and contact information please click here. Once a center registration is full, a waiting list will be kept and maintained for participants not selected. Parents will be notified as space becomes available.
2012 Summer Program Dates
The 2012 summer program dates for all Community Centers will begin on Monday, June 11, 2012. The summer program will end on Friday, July 27, 2012.
Summer Program Hours and Fees
The Summer Recreation Program is free to all participants who are selected through the lottery process and are registered at a community center. The Summer Recreation program hours are from 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday through Friday at all centers.

The 2012 Community Centers Summer Recreation Program lottery process and registration information is provided below. Lottery process information and entry forms are located and must be filled out at the community center you want your child to attend. Registration forms will be available at each center beginning Monday, April 16, 2012.
