Renaissance Faire 2015!

Save the date! Enjoy food, music, demonstrations, arts, and activities all recreated from the Middle Ages! Renaissance Faire will be returning to the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the new time from 11 a.m.- 7 p.m.

Entertainment Schedule

  • 11 a.m.- The 3rd Annual Albuquerque Renaissance Faire opens
  • 12 p.m.- Fight a Knight
  • 1 p.m.- The Royal Feast opens; The Tavern opens
  • 2 p.m.- Epona
  • 3 p.m.- Fight a Knight
  • 4 p.m.- The Royal Feast closes; Renaissance Faire Wear Show
  • 5 p.m.- Group Wedding
  • 6 p.m.- Epona
  • 7 p.m.- The Tavern closes; Albuquerque Renaissance Faire ends

Free Group Wedding

A Celebration of Love Wedding Chapel invites you to have a fairy tale wedding at the Renaissance Faire! Marry your king or queen or renew your vows during this free, Renaissance ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Take advantage of this special opportunity that requires no appointment or wait time. There will be a county clerk on site to issue marriage certificates for a $25 cash only fee. For more information about requirements or what to bring, click here.

Renaissance Faire Wear Show

Lords and Ladies of Albuquerque are invited to participate in our first ever Renaissance Faire Wear Show. Wear your best Renaissance garb and sign-up to walk in the Faire Wear Show for your shot at winning a Renaissance Faire gift pack. Sign-up at the table located near the information booth. The Show will begin at 4 p.m.

The Tavern

Kings and Queens can take advantage of the opportunity to escape the hard life of running the Kingdom and spend some time in The Tavern. Enjoy entertainment and libations, including mead and ale, for adults only.

Order of Epona has been traveling since 2010. Starting from a group of friends that love horses and dressing up, now having transformed into a group of Knights, Ladies and Noble steeds that are dazzling audiences. A bit of history, a dash of fantasy, and there you have it!

Epona will be at the Renaissance Faire, captivating guests with two shows of live equestrian jousting. Snag a spot early to watch these incredible demonstrations taking place at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Children's Realm

This year's Children's Realm will be more fun than ever before for the Princes and Princesses of Albuquerque. Wanderland, presented by the Girl Scouts of NM Trails, and Fight a Knight will be back. Stroll by Wanderland and craft a fairytale wand and sign-up to Fight a Knight and earn a certificate for your victory. The climbing wall and face painting will also return along with a completely revamped games area.

Other Entertainment

Hear ye, hear ye! Be sure to walk around the entire Faire and take in everything we have to offer. From armored combat exhibitions and a Renaissance Village reenacting medieval life to Living History and archery demonstrations, there is entertainment for all. Don't forget to swing by the village of more than 30 merchants selling handcrafted, Renaissance goods and purchase some of your favorite themed items.

Commoners Food Court

A variety of food trucks will serve your favorite fare. Traditional Renaissance themed food including giant turkey legs and delicious corn on the cob will be available. Also available for purchase will be an array of Scottish and Greek food brought to you by The Scottish Pie Shop and The Greek Geek. It may be the Commoners Food Court, but the food tastes like it's made for royalty.

Royal Feast

Enjoy a unique themed meal created by the experts at Taste of the Wild catering. The royal meal will include starters like assorted cheeses, fruits, and grains followed by a main course of suckling pig and turkey legs with delicious vegetable sides for a well rounded Renaissance feast. Finish this one-of-a-kind experience with an assortment of pies fit for a king. Water and soda are provided at no charge.

The Royal Feast will take place during the Faire from 1-4 p.m. Please note, purchase of a Royal Feast ticket does not include admission to the Faire unless purchasing the Feast and Faire for Four pack. For more information and to purchase tickets, see below.

Tickets for the Albuquerque Renaissance Faire are on sale now! Ticket sales include general admission, Royal Feast, and a Four Pack. Please note, purchase of a Royal Feast ticket does not include admission to the Faire. Prices can be seen below. Get your tickets here.

  • General Admission Children (ages 3-12 years): $5.00
  • Children Under 3 Years: Free
  • Royal Feast Adult: $25.00
  • Royal Feast Youth (ages 3 - 12 years): $11.00
  • Feast and Faire for Four: $80.00
