Topic and Speaker

Join James Stewart, a non-game specialist for the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish, to learn about efforts to restore North American river otters to the state. He will discuss efforts of both NMDGF andthe New Mexico Friends of the River Otter, and will share details of the restoration project and footage of otters following their release near Taos, NM.

James Stewart has been the non-game mammal specialist in NMDGF's Wildlife Management Division since 2005. He researches and manages river otters and other non-game mammals in the state that face threats in the wild.
