ABQ RIDE & Sun Van

  • As of Saturday, June 13, ART service has been restored using a Saturday schedule from Monday through Friday, but with earlier start times.
  • Many routes have had their weekday schedules restored. Others such as the commuter routes and the routes that service the Rail Runner still are on temporary hold (the Rail Runner is not yet back in service)
  • Saturday and Sunday bus schedules remain the same.
  • ABQ RIDE is recommending that all passengers use a face mask or face covering when riding the bus, to protect other passengers, the bus driver and themselves.
  • ABQ RIDE is allowing students 18 years of age and younger can ride free on all ABQ RIDE fixed route buses to make it easier for students to get Grab & Go meals while APS schools are closed.
  • Riders are reminded to frequently wash their hands, cough into their sleeves, and call the NMDOH hotline if you feel you have COVID-19 symptoms.
  • ABQ RIDE is using a comprehensive approach to keep fixed route and Sun Van riders and drivers as safe as possible. It has increased nightly cleaning and sanitation of each bus and Sun Van, bringing in additional temporary staff to assist with that workload.
  • ABQ RIDE will place new information about any service changes or updates on its message monitors at ART platforms, push notices on the ABQ RIDE App, ABQ RIDE website, Text2Ride service, social media platforms, and signs on fare boxes on the buses. 311 is also a great resource for people looking for information.
  • The ABQ Ride customer service lobby is closed, but purchases can still be made at the customer service windows.

  • Many of the Sunport’s bars and full-service restaurants are temporarily closed. Those that are open are following the State’s latest orders, including capacity restrictions. Fast food and pre-packaged take away items are still available post-security and any seating within the food court area has been adjusted to allow for social distancing. Please see the Sunport’s website for a full list of hours and accommodations.
  • TSA is allowing passengers to wear masks through the security checkpoint but may ask that it be adjusted when verifying identity. TSA is also allowing up to 12 oz. containers of hand sanitizer in carry-on bags.
  • TSA will accept expired state licenses with an expiration date of March 1, 2020 or later.
  • Customs and Border Protection has suspended operation of the Trusted Traveler Program enrollment centers, including the Sunport’s Global Entry office
  • Those picking up or dropping off passengers at the airport are encouraged to use curbside services rather than entering the terminal.
  • Passengers are encouraged to wear face coverings at all times while inside the terminal and many airlines are requiring face coverings. Please come prepared.
  • Airline flight schedules are still changing. Passengers should contact their airline directly for information regarding upcoming flights or for general questions about traveling during the coronavirus pandemic. Airline contact information can be found on the Sunport’s website.
