Description

Native Hawaiians have always created stories about everything in their lives: about places, people, weather phenomena, eruptions, and even about things beyond their daily reality. Join Lehua Lopez as she relates narratives about "Pele, the Hawaiian Volcano Goddess," including stories about Pele's sister and brother deities, kino lau (body forms), and the spiritual connections to Kilauea Volcano. Lehua Lopez, a native Hawaiian anthropologist born and raised in Hawai`i, has been telling stories about Hawaiian culture for more than 35 years.
