The Manzano Mesa Community Recycling Drop-off Center will remain open. The Solid Waste Management Department recently completed a survey of area residents whether to retain or remove the recycling drop-off bins located in the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center parking lot.
A survey was conducted in response to concerns of neighbors regarding proper use of the bins. A total of 684 postcard surveys were mailed to residents living within a one mile radius of the Multigenerational Center. Of the 333 surveys returned, 86% responded to retain the Community Recycling Drop-off Center and 14% to remove it.
The Department will continue to empty the recycling bins and clean the area daily.
