Stuff the Bus Collects Comfort Gifts for City Shelter Pets and Homeless Families

Donation drop-off November 19 Only

Celebrate the season of giving by helping the City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department and Family and Community Services give hope to sheltered adoptable pets and homeless families this holiday season. When homeless pets and families need help, gifts from friends like you help save their lives... just in time for the holidays!

The Animal Welfare Department and Family and Community Services are collaborating with ABQ Ride, The Paper, Hinkle Family Fun Center and Papa Murphy’s to encourage the community to “Stuff the Bus.” Let’s make this season bright for our sheltered adoptable pets and homeless families in need by fulling their wish list.

The Stuff the Bus drop-off location will be held Saturday, November 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hinkle Family Fun Center at Tramway and Indian School NE. With every drop off donation, Papa Murphy’s will be handing out one large free pizza coupon.

The wish list for cats and dogs includes small cat toys, treats, beds, brushes, wand toys, scratchers, blankets, towels, dog enrichment toys, collars, harnesses, leashes, pill pockets, and Kong’s toys.

The wish list for families includes toiletries, reusable water bottles, backpacks, shoes, new underwear and socks, infant and toddler supplies (diapers, wipes), coats, gloves, hats, new toys, children’s books, coloring materials, and puzzles for all ages.

Specific pet items can be ordered through the Amazon Wish Lists for Albuquerque Shelter Animals at ABQ Animal Welfare Wishlist.
