Now Hiring at Animal Welfare Department


Help maintain and build Animal Welfare Department social media presence, lead photo and video teams, and assist with event marketing campaigns, amongst other tasks. Have an understanding of AWD’s practices and policies.


  • Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, press releases and podcasts) and other communication tools
  • Monitor, oversee the social media presence and respond to posts when needed and appropriate
  • Manage end-to-end digital projects
  • Establish our web presence to boost brand awareness
  • Maintain a strong online company voice through social media
  • Liaise with Marketing, Director, Associate Director, and volunteer teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date with digital media developments
  • Design digital media campaigns aligned with business goals
  • Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed
  • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI)

Preferred Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Digital media specialist or Digital marketing manager
  • Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, Audacity or other media editing software
  • Experience with visual communication principles
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • An ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BSc degree in Marketing, Digital media or relevant field
  • Additional qualification in web design or animation is a plus   

Location. Eastside Shelter – 8920 Lomas Blvd. NE

     Salary. $15.00 an hour – Contract -  No benefits

      Hours. 40 hours
