The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department is celebrating Leap Year by hosting a “Leap Out of the Shelter” pet adoption event at the city shelters on Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1. Leap Year comes every four years, so consider coming out and changing the luck of a homeless pet with a forever home.
Over 700 pets are getting in shape to leap out of the shelter this weekend. Any pet can Leap Out for only $4 which includes spay or neuter, a microchip, and required vaccinations.
When: Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1
Adoption Fee: $4 for any pet.

West Side Animal Shelter, 11800 Sunset Gardens S.W., 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m.
Lucky Paws, 6600 Menaul N.E. Sat.11:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. & Sun. Noon-6 p.m.
Everyday Adoption Center, 350 Eubank Blvd. NE, Sat 10 a.m.-7:00 p.m. & Sun. 10-6 p.m.
