El Día de Los Muertos is a Mexican tradition that has captured the imagination of people all over the world.  In Mexico, Día de Los Muertos celebrations vary from somber visits to graveyards to pay respects to the deceased, to art exhibits, to the making of private and public “ofrendas” or altars which venerate the departed.
