Event schedule:
10:00am: Program begins at the restroom area at Boca Negra Canyon, two miles north of Petroglyph National Monument's visitor center, just off Unser Boulevard on Atrisco Drive NOW, one-quarter mile north of Montaño Road.
10:00 - 10:30am: A short orientation of the Monument will be given and a new Junior Ranger booklet for Petroglyph National Monument will be introduced; all Junior Rangers will be given a copy. A preschool Junior Ranger booklet is also available.
10:30 - 11:30am: The group will start a Ranger-led walk of the petroglyph trails; parents are encouraged to walk the trails as well.
11:30am - 12:00pm: Junior Rangers are given some time to finish their booklets and ask any questions. All Junior Rangers will participate in a group swearing-in ceremony and badges will be issued.
Note: Wear sturdy shoes, bring some water, something to write with, and maybe a snack.
