Description

Join an Open Space education park ranger on a family-friendly hike and engage in hands-on learning together as a family, listen to natural history fun facts, enjoy storytelling, and seek out wildlife. Program is offered once-a-month at various Open Space public lands. Please arrive prepared to have fun in the outdoors.

Powerful Pollinators: Join one of the first activities of the Pollinator’s Celebration at the Open Space Visitor Center! Get a closer look at local pollinators with both sweep nets and two-way viewers during a 1-mile roundtrip hike in the bosque. Discover the wonder of pollinators through these hands-on investigations and stay for more fun at the public event afterwards.

Trail will not accommodate strollers. Parking, water, and restroom/changing table facilities are available at the Open Space Visitor Center. Please meet at the Family Nature Club Meets Here sign at the Visitor Center Patio.

Program is free, but registration is required at play.cabq.gov (Open Space → Public Programs → Family Programs → Family Nature Club Hikes)
