Elementary-aged youth join two Open Space education park rangers for fun and in-depth learning about the natural world around them at the Open Space Visitor Center and includes hiking and outdoor exploration, hands-on science, literacy, and art activities.

Program takes place both inside and outside. Child should attend camp prepared to have fun in the outdoors and get into nature. Saturday Explorer Camp is offered once-every-other-month during the school year, and topics vary seasonally. Parking and restroom facilities are available at the Visitor Center.

Tuition is $10 for the three-hour camp, registration is required at play.cabq.gov (Open Space → Public Programs → Youth Programs → Saturday Explorer Camp)
