Description

Kick off National Pollinator Week with this event for all ages. Join the Open Space Visitor Center, the Open Space Alliance, and Bee City USA for the Pollination Celebration. This year we’re featuring live music with Lone Piñon and Long Drink of Water, a performance by Valley High School Baile Folklorico, workshops, art exhibits, vendors, pollinator-themed arts and craft activities and more!

Scheduled Activities*:

  • 4:00pm-5:00pm: Music with Long Drink of Water
  • 5:30pm-6pm: Valley High School Ballet Folklorico Performance
  • 4:30pm-5:00pm Environmental Justice in New Mexico: Counting Coup book signing and presentation with author Valerie Rangel (Kiva Room)
  • 5:30pm - 6:00pm: Pollination Strategies of Plants (George Miller from the Native Plan Society (Kiva Room)
  • 6:15pm-7:45pm: A musical performance with Lone Pinon
