Vision Zero - Safe Streets Coordinator Terra Reed

Terra Reed is the Vision Zero - Safe Streets Coordinator at the City of Albuquerque. Vision Zero is a commitment that no one should be killed or seriously injured while moving through our city, whether they are walking, riding a bicycle, driving, taking transit, or moving some other way. As a bicycle commuter, walker, and runner, Terra believes deeply in this mission and seeks to foster safer street design, better transportation policy, and open dialog about how to make streets more equitable and safer for everyone in Albuquerque.

Prior to her current position, Terra was a long range planner with the City, writing policy and regulation and developing outreach and engagement opportunities and tools. She has also worked in non-profit management and public transportation. Terra developed a deep interest in equitable and livable cities while living, learning, and working in Albuquerque; Ann Arbor, MI; Eugene, OR; and Lyon, France.

Terra holds a BA in Planning, Public Policy, and Management from the University of Oregon and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
